I've got no problem depositing checks at ATMs, because there's still a paper trail. But how safe is it to deposit cash via an ATM? Are bank workers pretty trustworthy, or is there a danger of a few bills disappearing on the way to my bank account? I'm stuck in a bad situation where I need to deposit some cash, but the nearest credit union branch is about 15 miles away in a part of town I never go to. However, there's an ATM right across the street from me...

Any help will be apprecited.
